This work focuses on the scene of palace maids ironing silk and embroidering in Spring Morning in the Han Palace. The fire pen meticulously recreates the steam rising from the ironed silk and their focused expressions while sewing. Pyrography uses the heat of fire to mimic the heat of the iron, allowing these two ancient crafts that use temperature to shape beauty to converse across time and space on the wood grain. Where the burns reach, the daily warmth and artisan spirit of the millennia-old palace are quietly revitalized.
